Welcome

Welcome to Here to Help's online screening for depression, anxiety and risky drinking. Your answers are completely anonymous--we won't record anything that can identify you. The screening tool will guide you through the followng steps:
1First, you'll be asked to provide a little information about yourself (like your age and gender) so we can guide you to the right screenings.
2A depression screening is next. There are different types of depression screenings available for specific groups. We'll direct you to the one that is right for you.
3One of the depression screenings includes questions about other symptoms. Depending on your answers, you may be directed to a mood disorders screening which looks more closely at symptoms of mania, which can happen alongside depression.
4Your next stop is an anxiety screening. The first part of the screening asks one question about each of five different types of anxiety problems, then goes into more detail depending on your answers.
5The last screening involves assessing your use of alcohol. You'll be directed to different versions of the screening depending on your age.
6Finally, your results will be displayed for you to review and print. An accurate diagnosis for depression and other psychiatric disorders can only be made by a physician or qualified mental health professional after a complete evaluation, including a physical exam, to rule out any other medical illnesses or conditions that may be accounting for the symptoms.
