How the Built Environment Shapes Our Classroom Experience

In a 2016 study, 66% of Canadian postsecondary students said that they felt lonely in the last year and 30% said that they felt very lonely in the last two weeks. The built environment—streets, buildings, and even furniture—can be one way to combat isolation in schools.
