Recovery: Living Your Bestish Life

PDF | EPUB | Vol. 17, No. 4 (2022)

We all want to live our best lives... or more realistically, a best-ish life that takes the ups and downs in stride. If you’re in recovery from a mental illness or substance use problem, living your best-ish life could mean a lot of different things: learning new self-management skills, building healing practices into your daily schedule, sharing your experiences to support others, or seeking new supports to help you get back to your usual activities. Recovery is a life-long process, but as you’ll see from writers in this issue, being in recovery doesn’t mean you can’t live your best-ish life.
